A woman seems to have fallen asleep while reading a book. It might soon fall from her hands. Subdued moonlight shines through the curtains, where we can see the figure of a man half hidden behind the large and abundant plants. The furnishings in the room don't seem to belong to any particular style. At the bottom left side we might perceive a footstool, the outlines of which give the impresssion of an amorphous being, similar to the one we can recognize in the flower table. The woman wears an oldfashioned hat with a long feather. A tablelamp illuminates the room, but she sits in semi-darkness where the light of the lamp cannot reach. We might assume that we are dealing with the woman's dream. Acrylic on canvas, 110x90 cm. 2009
