To make an impression at any price, Even if it is only for fifteen minutes. The pop artist Andy Wharhol promised everybody fame for fifteen minutes. The excessively colourfully dressed or painted figures, of which one of them appears to be barefoot, are holding monstrous cards with numbers, while they are awaiting the judgement of the jurors, which are invisible behind a table, and whose crumpled note papers convey their agitation. What did they have to put up with already, and why do they still have to deal with these carnivallike figures. The walls and the floor are suitably multicoloured, as if the room had been prepared for these strange figures. Acrylic on canvas 100x80 cm. 2009
